According to rumors, Intel will soon issue the company two new dual-processor platforms for CULV. The source said that these processors will be called the Celeron 740 and SU2300. These models will operate at a frequency 1.3GGts and 1.2GGts respectively, will have the same L2 cache, but still of unknown size, power consumption 10Vt and frequency of 800MHz bus.

If this is true, the line of Intel CULV, designed to create a thin and light notebook PCs, will be expanded from three to four levels. It will be single-CPU entry-level dual-core processors to entry-level, single-end processors, and productive dual-core processors.

Perhaps the aim is to reduce producer prices and increasing profits in this way. After the release of new Intel may reduce the prices of single-and dual-core processors to entry-level, for ultrathin laptops.

Company Intel has not yet been confirmed nor denied this information.
