Now you can access your information even on the Windows live accounts via SMS as this SMS service was first started in USA and now it is being introduced in UK. As you can normally send SMS to your friend from the Windows live instead of sending it from mobile phone you can send any text messages and no internet mobile browsing and even you have to pay no extra charges for using this service.
As declared by one of the spokesperson of windows live team that with these service you can daily update your personal message also have a option to check the Windows Live calendar and invite many other users to join your network and get more information relating to the users in the Windows contact list. Dawn Hollingsworth, from the Windows Live team, explained that via SMS for Windows Live users would be able to “update your personal message; check your Windows Live Calendar; invite people to join your network; get contact info for people in your Windows Live contact list.”

And to start these SMS service the users have connect their mobile number with a suitable Windows live accounts and after log-in you will have to enter the mobile number in the text box which is below setup SMS. And after that users have to make some suitable corrections if required and wait for text message containing a four digit Pin code.

And after that enter the PIN code and then click on the next button and you mobile number will get registered with the Windows live account. And now you can use the Windows Live SMS service and to start this service you will see personal message option below that click on the Start and you are ready to use this service.


And there are no any extra charges for using these service as it is same normal charges relating to the messages cost and as declared by the Redmond Company that the charges would be charged entirely through the mobile operators or else the Windows Live SMS service was absolutely free.

As said by the Windows live team that the users will have to send some short code along with the Text messages for e.g. if the users is residing in USA and his mobile operator is AT&T then the short code would be as My Live or 695483 and if the user is residing in the UK and his mobile operators are Vodafone, orange, etc then his short code would be as 88804. Yet the service is available only for USA and the UK users and it is still not declared when this service will be applicable to all other users around the globe.
