Arrandale be dual-core processor, made on 32nm production methods with a built-45nm graphics kernel. Intel calls this "Multi-chip platform", i.e., "multi-chip platform," and believes that this is the beginning of a new era in the history of notebook and laptops. One can argue, saying that the mobile chip next generation of computing the kernel must be identical at least for a graphic production method that will be made in future AMD Fusion, but this model is likely to be released later Arrandale. Arrandale will change the mobile market in the generation of Core 2 Duo, surpassing it.
Arrandale processor supports Hyper-Threading and is capable of handling up to four threads simultaneously. Intel hopes that this feature would work well in laptops. Issue a new processor and at the same time, some partners of Intel will be willing to submit their notebooks based on it. The manufacturer is going to present seven new models with integrated graphics processor kernel. The following information has not been confirmed officially: presumably Processors Intel Arrandale will be called Core i3, but it is likely that some high-performance models will be produced under the brand name Core i5.
Currently, SU9400 processors with low power consumption are sold by over in the lot of 100 pieces. This processor runs at 1.4GGts has 3Mb cache L2, the two nuclei, and support two simultaneous data streams, while the processor Arrandale, which will replace it, has two nuclei, and supports up to four streams of data, but also has embedded graphics. However, power SU9400 is only 10Vt, while Arrandale will consume slightly more energy because of the built-graphical kernel. We can expect that the price of a new mobile processor will be the same or slightly more.
So, the processor Intel Arrandale will be released. Apparently, due to the emergence of new models of mobile manufacturer agreed to discontinue the processor Atom N270, which are currently being actively used in notebook. Nevertheless, the model based on the N270 can be purchased for a few months after the end of production of these processors, as well as partners Intel has the habit of creating large stockpiles of chips for the production of popular models.
