The company AMD plans to begin production of new Quad-core CPU. The most significant of the future models are the flagship Phenom II X4 Black Edition 965 and Athlon II X4 630, the first Quad-core CPU Athlon, for the main segment of the market.
Processor AMD Phenom X4 965 II Black Edition will operate at a nominal frequency 3.40GGts will have 2Mb cache L2 (in 512Kb per core), 6Mb cache L3, an embedded dual memory controller DDR2/DDR3, and will support all the advanced technology. It can be installed on a motherboard with socket AM3 and AM2 +, a new family of power Phenom is 125Vt.
In turn, the processor Athlon II X4 630 with a nominal frequency 2.80GGts will be built in two DDR2/DDR3 memory controller and 2Mb cache L2 (to 512 KB per core). L3 cache, this processor does not exist, so that power of this model is only 65Vt.
Later, probably in autumn, AMD also plans to release processors Athlon II X4 600e (2.20GGts), 605e (2.30GGts) and 620 (2.60GGts). In addition, sometime AMD plans to begin production of new models Athlon II X3.
