Elixir has declared the launch of Thurly, a plug-in for Apple's Safari Web browser that makes it easier to abbreviate URLs and "tweet" them. Though some features execute for at no cost.

It's universal for users of the Twitter social networking service to post Web site URLs, so people who pursue them can understand information that can be of common interest. With Twitter's strict character limit all "tweets" must be 140 or less characters it's become regular to use a URL limitation service to preserve space. But that frequently needs an extra step, visiting a site that can compress a URL for you.

Thurly steps into that space by presenting a one-stop tune-up in Safari. The plug-in allows you to compress a URL you've set up exciting and to post it to your Twitter account all in one step.

Registering Thurly is not necessary, though it enables you to use additional features, such as the capability to carry on numerous Twitter accounts and to use a Twitter template which sets a default message.
