Microsoft's Security Essentials. aka "Morro". is already receiving favorable reviews from bloggers and reviewers. The free antivirus and online security program, currently in beta, will replace Microsoft's current subscription-based Windows Live OneCare service when it debuts. Independent testing lab AV-Test has ranked it higher than many current antivirus products and praised its handling of false positives. A final release date for Security Essentials is not yet known, but it is expected by the end of 2009.
