In addition to desktop processors Intel Lynnfield company is also preparing to present the first mobile processors based on the architecture of Nehalem, which are part of the platform Calpella. Announcement Calpella, as expected, held in the second half of this year.
The composition of Calpella platform will PM55 chipset and three 45nm quad-processor that will support the socket mPGA-989. The first wave of mobile processor code-named Nehalem Clarks field will include the Core i7 720QM with frequency 1.6GGts, 780QM with a frequency of 1.8 GHz and 920XM with frequency 2.9GGts.
Model Core i7 720QM will have 6Mb cache L3, an embedded dual memory controller DDR3-1333 (IMC), power consumption and support for the regime 45Vt Turbo, thanks to which the frequency of a single nucleus can be elevated to 2.8GGts. CPU Core i7 780QM has the same memory controller and the same energy, but it has 8Mb cache L3, feature Turbo accelerates one of its kernels to 3.0GGts frequency. And finally, the power model Core i7 920XM well 55Vt, the frequency of its nucleus in the Turbo mode is 3.2GGts. In all likelihood, already in the fourth quarter will be the first models of notebooks based on the platform Calpella, so the New Year promises to be very interesting.
