Asus president Jerry Shen (Jerry Shen) said that the company plans later this year, debuting on the market of devices for reading electronic books. The new model will apply to the popular series of Eee, which is widely used by the producer markets netbook and nettop. Resource DigiTimes added that MSI is also seeking to enter the market of electronic books.
Analysts said that market entry devices for reading electronic books easier than entering the market netbook. They add that the new device, made on new platforms are likely to be successful simply because of its novelty.
Currently, e-books are in demand mainly in North America and Europe. According to analysts, these devices are not popular in Asia because of the different habits of reading.
