AMD has introduced the six-core Istanbul Opteron processors with 75W power consumption. In July, the manufacturer added to this series of 105W and 55W models. Now AMD is proud to introduce new processors Istanbul with only 40W power consumption.

The new processor Opteron 2419 EE, supports socket 120, made on the basis of the same chip Istanbul, as well as other models 2400 series, but its frequency is much lower than 1.8 GHz. This chip will compete with quad-core processors Intel Nehalem power with 60W series Xeon.
