AMD has plans to soon release another triple-core processor based on 45nm Shanghai which is nothing more than Deneb with a missing core.

Currently, the fastest triple-core processor, AMD is the Phenom II X3 720 with a frequency of 2.8GHz. The frequency of new models, Phenom II X3 740, will be 3.0GHz. Characteristics of the new model, but the frequency and the total cache size equal to 7.5Mb, are still unknown.

This processor will appear on the European market by the end of the third quarter of 2009, its price is still unknown.
