AMD plans to replace the current platform Dragon AM3 new platform, code-named Leo. The new platform consists of a fast 45nm multi-core processors AM3, which will be released next year, the new chipset AMD 890FX/GX + SB850, as well as video cards with support for DX11, Helmlock and Cypress (series Radeon HD 5800).

The new chipsets will support a number of key functions, such as increased productivity with CrossFire, and support for ATI Stream OpenCL, the next generation of Hybrid Crossfire, overclocking AMD Fusion II with the profiles of OverDrive and Black Edition, etc. Among other useful features for future platforms worth noting support SATA 6Gbit / s, USB 3.0 and Integrated Broadcom MAC.
