The company Lenovo today announced the preparation of a VIA-version of its 12-inch Netbook IdeaPad S12, but has not specified which markets this model will be sold.
S12 Netbook with Nano U2250 processor will have 2GB of RAM and, theoretically, should be 20-25% cheaper than similar versions on the netbook processor Intel (excluding the cost of OS). That sounds pretty fair, because the Nano U2250 processor is a worthy, and the main characteristics netbook, is likely to remain unchanged.
Shortly after the official announcement of Windows 7 Lenovo plans to release a S12 platform nVidia Ion with the new operating system.
