Apple has released an update for Java, in Mac OS X Leopard. Update, ranking fifth, replacing all previous updates, bringing greater reliability, security, and cross-platform technology compatibility.

In particular, many Java-related security updates patch vulnerabilities, including some to allow untrusted Java applets to obtain elevated privileges through the web page and possibly execute arbitrary code.
