In the near future will be released a new platform, Intel's socket LGA 1156, and, of course, its appearance will increase the demand for coolers for processors. Keenly aware of this, the company Scythe had some preliminary work, and many of its new models of coolers are compatible not only with the socket LGA1366, but with the upcoming socket LGA1156. This was accomplished by creating a flexible anchor plate, which allows you to set the cooler on the CPU LGA775, LGA1366 and LGA1156. The user simply moves the latches in the corresponding hole depending on the socket, and then install the cooler.
With this system, consumers will be able to use the new Intel-coolers Zipang 2, Kabuto, Kama Angle Rev. B, Ninja 2 Rev. B, Ninja Mini Rev. B, Katana 3, BIG Shuriken and Shuriken Rev. B, is already available on the world market. Mugen cooler 2 will be fully compatible with the LGA 1156, but his version of "Revision B" with a completely redesigned bracket to appear only in November 2009.
Owners of previous versions of CPU coolers Scythe during the transition to the new socket LGA 1156 will have the opportunity to upgrade their coolers with special mounting strips. Here's a list of CPU coolers Scythe and possible upgrade of these processors to be compatible with the new platform.
