Asus Company released a new series of notebooks based on the platform CULV to compete with similar Acer notebooks series Timeline and to bridge the gap between netbooks and ultra-portable notebooks. New family Unlimited (lit. "limitless") includes models with 12.1 ", 13.3", 14 "and 15.6" screen resolution of 1366x768 pixels, the Core 2 Duo, Solo, or Celeron processors with ultra-low voltage and or the matte black aluminum body thickness less than an inch.

With 12 "model of low-level users will UL20A Celeron processor with a frequency of 1.2GHz or Core 2 Duo processor with a frequency 1.3GGts, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and hard disk capacity of 160GB or 320GB. UL30A model has 13.3" LCD-screen, Core 2 Duo frequency of 1.4GHz and the hard drive to 500GB. Both models will ship with integrated graphics Intel GMA 4500MHD and without optical drives. Further, the model of the upper level, 14 "UL80V and 15.6" UL50V, will be available in five different ways, including discrete graphics nVidia GeForce G 210M and the availability of 4GB DDR3 or 8GB of DDR2 memory. In these notebooks also integrated DVD-burner drive and 8-cell battery for 12 hours of battery life. In addition, all series notebooks UL maintain "exclusive technology Turbo33", which, according to ASUS, "more than 30% more processing power."
