Apple has reorganized Xsan to 2.2. The application is used to organize a Storage Area Network (SAN) -- a bunch of high-speed hard drives attached by means of Fibre Channel networking technology. Xsan 2.2 documents a safety problem that has been addressed linking screen sharing.

"Screensharing by the use of the Xsan Admin software could offer an error dialog containing the user's name as well as password," according to Apple.

The problem is inadequate to use the Xsan Admin software, not Xsan Filesystem itself. Apple thanks the Kadimac Corp Macintosh Integrators' for reporting the error.
