Platform Business Class was introduced by AMD for over a year ago. The previous version of this platform is designed for desktop business computers and laptops, as stated by AMD, it was supposed to help OEM-producers to create PCs that are both very reliable and have a sufficiently low cost.

In principle, the new platform is not so much unique, at least judging by the lack of fanfare when it appears. However, AMD has included in it some features that are worth noting. Since this is the first update to the platform for the year, it includes all the new processors, GPU and chipset, which AMD has released over time. Here are some features:

• The planned 24-month life cycle of processors from the first appearance, support for virtualization and industry standards such as Desktop and Mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) 1.1 Management and TPM 1.2 for security.

• AMD now offers the possibility of DAS 1.0 in configurations designed for desktop PCs. AMD DAS is a set of technologies, which allows the use of virtualization, as well as management and security based on industry standards.

• Functions, provides energy-efficient systems, including technology, Cool'n'Quiet 2.0, which is designed to help reduce system noise and ensure long life of your computer.

AMD also released a statement by Alan Reid (Alan Reed), vice president and general manager of desktop company HP: "As of today submitted a laptop HP Compaq 6005 Pro Business, made on the basis of technology of AMD Business Class, we are confident that our cooperation with AMD will help us meet the demand for productive equipment needed to enterprises around the world.”
