Loss and theft of laptops continue to pose a serious problem for enterprises and private users, most often not because of the need to purchase new equipment, but because of the possibility of falling into the wrong hands the information presented on the laptop. Company Intel seriously addressing this problem and plans next year to submit a new version of the technology, Anti-Thief, Anti-Theft Technology 2.0. At IDF Intel representatives described a future version of AT 2.0, a hardware solution that provides remote laptop off and blocking access to encrypted data, located on the laptop.
According to Intel, the new protection technology will work, even if you reinstall the operating system on or off a laptop from the Internet. The Second Coming Anti-Theft Technology is expected in 2010 and will be used for both the user and for business notebooks.
