Company Microsoft unveiled a logo that will adorn various computer accessories, testifying to their use with operating system Windows 7. Interestingly, this logo provides support for 64-bit version. The source reports that the logo with the words "Compatible with Windows 7 (Compatible with Windows 7) is designed for computer software and various peripheral devices, and must convince users that purchased by them a thing will work after you install Windows 7.

The new logo is different from its predecessors, Windows Vista and Windows XP so that a single logo, such as the image will indicate support for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the new operating system. If you purchased the device only supports 32-bit OS, it will be highlighted separately.

One of the most serious obstacles to widespread adoption of 64-bit operating systems is the lack of 64-bit drivers for many hardware will agree with this, many who had to deal with 64-bit version of Windows XP or Vista. Demanding as the standard for both 32-bit and 64-bit drivers, Microsoft cleverly provides ordinary users with an easy life: they do not even need to remember what version of Windows 7 installed on their computer.

For the logo manufacturers and software developers provide their driver in Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certification, which, of course, is a paid service. Microsoft says that more than 6000 devices have been tested and certified as ready for use with all versions of Windows 7. General Director of Windows Product Strategy Group at Microsoft, Mark Relf (Mark Relph) argues that, compared with the previous testing in the laboratory WHQL, when tested for compatibility with Windows 7 is required to provide a smaller number of required documents, which makes testing less expensive for the partners of Microsoft. Company Microsoft has launched a website where you can find guidance and various tools to ensure interoperability between other devices and software with the new OS.
