Microsoft has confirmed that its free anti-virus software, released recently, will be available only to users who have deployed on their computers a legal copy of the operating system Windows.
Security Essentials is a free anti-virus product, which, according to Microsoft, will use people, not previously planted on their computers any antivirus software. But Alex Kochis (Alex Kochis), senior product manager at Microsoft, wrote in his blog that the Security Essentials will work only with legal copies of Windows. Users running a pirated copy of Windows, will not be able to run the program, instead they will have the opportunity to get a legal copy of Windows.
