Adobe has announced the new version of its management program content "rich" Flash. Version 10.1, as expected, supports GPU acceleration. As this new version is not expected before the end of the year, it is unclear how the acceleration will be supported, but at least we know that NVIDIA supports it with the ION platform (and therefore a priori all cards compatible PureVideo VP3, at least). Other good news, Flash will support multitouch interfaces, strong presence on mobile devices, and there is good reason for it: Flash 10.1 will be available on many platforms.
Everyone ... except the iPhone
Flash 10.1 will be available for Windows, Linux as well as Mac OS X at the end of the year, and for Windows Mobile as well as Palm webOS, the system of Pre. Later on - in the year 2010 - Adobe will present beta versions of Flash 10.1 for systems based on Google Android as well as Symbian (S60). At last, an adaptation for BlackBerry is also under progress. The list seems complete systems, but it lacks a camera: that of Apple. In fact, Adobe has specified that the system of the iPhone was the owner and that Flash was not obtainable for this platform.
Finally, we will therefore still have to wait, but the uniformity of versions (currently, there are versions of 9, 10, Lite, etc.) Should improve the websites in Flash and especially reduce the CPU load in using the GPU, which is the biggest problem of technology.
