Citrix announced XenDesktop 4 which provides the management of hypervisors from VMware and Microsoft for deployment of virtual desktops in an enterprise.
XenDesktop
XenDesktop VDI manages solutions (a thin client that takes advantage of a virtualized environment by the server) or Desktop Streaming (virtualized environment is calculated by the host machine. It is usually this kind of configuration where computers are available on a LAN the premises of a business).
FlexCast and XenApp
The two major innovations that are FlexCast can deliver any type of desktop virtualization (VDI or streaming) on any machine and any user. It can handle both options simultaneously from a single console and deliver them according to individual needs and settings of client computers. Another novelty is the integration in XenApp XenDesktop, which can easily handle applications on the virtual machine, through their updates and their delivery systems hosts.
Making life easier for administrators
Unlike VMware and Microsoft that provides tools reserved for their hypervisors, XenDesktop 4 works with Hyper-V and ESX. The Citrix program thus seeks to be more flexible and efficient, which explains the HDX optimizations that improve the management of multimedia content and 3D designers.
