VMware will release the third version of VMware Fusion October 27 next and the least we can say is that the editor does everything for the Windows environment will not disappoint adapting the system to the apple.
Windows on Mac
VMware Fusion 3 can virtualize Windows on Mac OS X to run applications on dedicated Microsoft System more easily. One feature of this type 2 hypervisor is Unity, which allows navigation within the environment XP, Vista or 7 using the dock of OS X.Similarly, using the Windows Search function goes through a box that looks like Spotlight. In short, the goal is to integrate Windows to not become one with the operating system to Apple.
More Windows
This new version has been designed with Snow Leopard in mind and runs natively 64-bit, but it is also possible to have a host 64-bit kernel, even if the Mac on which rests the hypervisor is 32-bit. VMware also enables the activation of Aero, Aero Peek and Flip 3D in a virtual environment. Previously, a virtualized Vista could not handle all the graphics features. Fusion 3 is finally support DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.1. Players wishing to take advantage of DirectX 10 and will therefore have to use Boot Camp to install the Microsoft System.
The first positive results
Early testers say that Fusion 3.0 seems faster, more responsive and requires less memory than its predecessor. A virtual machine does the rest now that 5% of the processor. We note that the output of this new version will be five days after that of Windows 7. It is no coincidence, VMware hopes to use this output to boost sales and convince consumers to choose a Mac program.
Also note that Parallels 5 should come out shortly after its competitor.
