Intel has announced via a "Product Change Notification," that three of its mobile Celeron processors, namely the T1600, T1700 and Celeron 585, would soon be retired.

Launched in the third quarter of 2008, Celeron Mobile 585 is a single-core CPU clocked at 2.16 GHz. He embarked 1MB L2 cache and uses a FSB of 667 MHz. In turn, the Celeron T1600 and T1700 are dual-core processors respectively clocked at 1.66 GHz and 1.83 GHz. Launched a little later than the Celeron 585, they also have 1 MB of L2 cache and also use their FSB to 667 MHz. Orders will be accepted until April 9, 2010, the last deliveries are scheduled for October 8, 2010.
