Company nVidia plans to release a new generation of video cards on chips, which previously produced solely as OEM solutions. This new model will be released under the name GeForce GT220.

The source reports that this model will be presented Oct. 12, that is, a day earlier than the Radeon HD 5770 and 5750 with support for DirectX 11 cards, which, as experts expect will dominate in this market segment at least several months.

Powered by GeForce GT 220 will operate at a frequency of 615MGts up to 700MHz, depending on configuration. Most cards on this chip will use 1GB 128-bit DDR3 memory with a frequency 790MGts. It will be a single-slot model with a frequency of universal processors 1335MGts.

Presumably, the price of graphics cards on GeForce GT220 in the European market will be from € 57 to € 72 in wholesale consignments of the party, that is, these models will be readily available. Models nVidia support DirectX 11, known as Fermi, will tentatively in the first half of 2010.
