As you know, fairly soon, AMD plans to release its new graphics chip series Radeon HD 5700, but their characteristics are still accounted for only guess. Fortunately, thanks to forum XtremeSystems.org, a network official leaked specifications of future chips for graphics cards.
According to information received, Radeon HD 5770 will have 800 universal processors, 1GB of memory GDDR5, 128-bit memory interface. Core and memory speeds will 850MGts and 1200 MHz respectively, providing the processing power in 1.36Tflop. Less productive chip Radeon HD 5750 will have 720 universal processors, 512MB or 1GB of memory GDDR5, 128-bit memory interface, its core clock and 700MHz memory amount and 1150MGts respectively, and computing power will reach 1.008Tflop.
By providing virtually the same performance as the Radeon HD 4850, HD 5700 series consumes less energy. Radeon HD 5770 in the idle mode consumes 18W under load ─ 108Vt and HD 5750 consumes only 16W in idle mode and 86Vt under load. Both decisions will have two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, and will support the technology ATI Eyefinity.
Issue of new GPUs from AMD scheduled for October 13. Presumably, the price of the solution with the Radeon HD 5770 1GB is approximately $ 160 per batch of 1000 pieces, and graphics on HD 5750 512Mb/1Gb will be sold to large wholesale lots for about $ 110 / $ 130 respectively.
