Two weeks after buying Tandberg for $ 3 billion giant Cisco has put 2.9 billion on the table to acquire Starent Networks, a supplier specializing in IP networks of mobile operators (CDMA2000, UMTS / HSPA WiMax).

Created in 2000, Starent Networks employs nearly 1,000 people worldwide. Its turnover reached 254.1 million dollars in 2008, an increase of 74% in one year. If all goes well, the acquisition should be completed before the middle of next year.
