Default MSI Wind Top All-In-One 18.5” Touch PC

MSI organized this morning, in partnership with Microsoft, a press conference to launch the new all-in-one. The AE2220 and AE2020 are launched today, to 799 and 599 € TTC respectively. They will be available October 22 next, as they are provided with Windows 7.

The new operating system Microsoft introduced support for multi-touch technology touch, it falls well, and our two screens are compatible MSI. As its name suggests, multi-touch allows using several fingers simultaneously, which makes the touch much more ergonomic and efficient. Microsoft includes in Windows 7 a series of utility and games "Surface" that exploit this new technology. MSI also has some nice software, and many others will be available for download an introduction, and over time.

From what we could see, touch using the new all-in-One MSI is fluid and it becomes something really usable, rather than an (expensive) gadget. However, the technology is still in its infancy and the possibilities are quite limited.

Now see in more detail the configuration of the AE2220 and AE2020. The first adopts a screen of 21.6 inches with full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels). An Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 (dual-core 2.2 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache and 800MHz FSB) is coupled with 4 GB of DDR2-800. Chipset side, we find the ION and NVIDIA GeForce 9300 integrated (which used 256MB of memory). A hard drive 640GB (5200 rpm) lets see what happens, a DVD Super Multi is also present. The integrated audio speak via two 5-watt speakers (SRS Premium Sound).

Communication is managed by the Gigabit LAN and WiFi-N. A 1.3 megapixel webcam and a memory card reader 6 in 1 complete the picture. At the rear of the machine we find HDMI ports, VGA, USB, S / PDIF, eSATA and audio jacks. A pack keyboard + wireless mouse is present in the bundle along with a remote control for Media Center.

The AE2020 adopts a screen of 19.6 inches; it retains its full HD resolution. The Core 2 Duo T6600 is replaced by a Core 2 Duo T4300 (dual-core 2.1GHz). Its hard disk falls to 500 GB Note that has a VESA mount. These are the only differences with his big brother.

Both machines will be available in black or white by MSI. The Taiwanese manufacturer offers a two year warranty on these machines.
