Company AMD is preparing to release a few triple-core processors Rana and energy-efficient dual-core Regor. All these new models will be produced under the brand name Athlon II.

To date, known to some characteristics of the three processors Rana. CPU Athlon II X3 425 will operate at a frequency 2.7GGts, Athlon II X3 435 ─ frequency 2.9GGts, and the fastest Athlon II X3 will be 445 with a frequency 3.1GGts. All these processors have the L2 cache 3x512Kb, and they like quad Propus, there is no overall cache L3. This should positively impact on the prices of new processors, probably cheaper model with a frequency 2.7GGts will cost in parties from 1000 pieces a little more than € 50. It seems that the new AMD processors will provide users with a fairly good balance between price and quality, and the only thing you can complain; it's pretty high power consumption, 95Vt. For those users who consider power consumption almost its main characteristics, a bit later AMD will release versions of 400e and 405e, operating at frequencies of 2.2GHz and 2.3GHz respectively.

In the family of dual-core Regor also expecting an addition. This will be a model 235e and 240e with nominal frequencies 2.7GGts and 2.8Gts. Their power consumption is 45W. Prices of new processors Regor not yet known, but judging from the available members of this family, the new models will be quite cheap.
