MSI has formally declared two innovative nettops, the Wind Box DE200 along with DC200. We had an option to observe both of these during CeBIT, and back after that, DE200 was being supported on Nvidia's MCP79, aka. ION (9400) chipset with featured Intel's Celeron M550 microprocessor. In Computex '09, the DE200 changed to these existing specifications as well as it was a star at MSI's Computex lineup.
Both the DE200 as well as DC200 are being bundled in a 283 x 178 x 40.4mm cabinets, which include an Intel Atom 230 processor, with 1GB of RAM, along with an 3.5-inch 160GB hard drive, Gigabit LAN and 802.11bgn WiFi, two USB 2.0 ports, with 6-in-1 card reader plus with an external 65W PSU.
The only variation amongst the DC200 as well as the DE200 is the graphics part, as the DC200 arrive with standard Intel GMA 950 built-in graphics and features a sole VGA out, while the DE200 is being advanced with separate DirectX 9 graphics with VGA as well as HDMI outputs.
MSI's specifications list for the DE200 only explain it as a nettop with separate graphics, but according to listing, it features ATI's HD 4350 graphics card. There is a option that MSI will have unusual SKUs with Nvidia's 9400 as well as additional graphics cards, but for at this time, ATI's HD 4350 is the only one that is offered for pre-order.
Both the DE200 as well as the DC200 are being outfitted with Windows XP Home Edition OS.
