Google engineers at work on Android not idle, and regularly change the free mobile OS, so the first devices to ship version 1.6 of Android landed at SFR. An Android version called "Donut" found on the HTC including Magic and is currently deployed by SFR. The operation is very convenient because the owners of the terminal need only wait for the SFR inviting them to update their phones to make free and easy, as Android 1.6. An update ending October 29 next.
Inevitably, users of Samsung Galaxy, the other mobile Android marketed under SFR, wonder when they will themselves become entitled to this update. This should clearly not early, but did not wish SFR announce a specific date.
What's new for Android Donut?
Donut (1.6) does not revolutionize, but Android brings significant improvements to version Cupcake (1.5), especially in daily practice. For example, the search function extends to data stored on the phone, modes of shooting (photo and video) have been improved and a sign of consumption of each running application is available, enough to power better manage its battery. Donut is also intended for developers who now have access to the physical programming commands, understand gestures. They will also have access to Pico, the speech synthesis engine allows the phone to speak and read text. Finally, the Android Market has also been reworked with a view to better highlight the applications pay as requested by the application developers.
