Flash 10.1 is an update of the highly anticipated plug-in from Adobe, especially for users of netbooks and nettops: it should provide support for video acceleration. Specifically, the H.264 encoded videos (most current) on sharing sites like YouTube video or Dailymotion will be supported by the graphics card instead of CPU (as long as the graphics card has an engine decompression, of course). And then that Atom is not capable of decoding a video in "high definition" (720p) on a fluid, a graphics card (even entry level) as a GeForce 9400M is perfectly capable of doing this work. The demonstration by Kevin Lynch (CTO at Adobe) is also revealing: a machine like the Compaq Mini 311c is capable of decoding 720p streaming through Flash without any problems. There are also pictures of using Flash 10.1 on smartphones (in Tegra platform), which indicates that Adobe will finally offer a true version of Flash for mobile devices.
