Microsoft now offers the possibility to download an ISO of Windows 7 and create a USB key that will be used to install the system.
For netbooks
This measure is aimed at owners of netbooks, which are generally lacking an optical drive. The installation DVD does not let to much. We knew that Microsoft was exploring the possibility of selling USB Windows 7 (see” Windows 7 sold on a USB key). Finally, Redmond decided to sell the ISO and propose a program that converts a USB key installation media.
Relatively simple procedure
This option is only available when you buy Windows 7 on the Microsoft Store, which offers the necessary ISO file. Know that you need a key of at least 4 GB blank and the need to download a program available free on the Microsoft Store, which lets you turn your media into a bootable volume.
