The manufacturer Patriot has recently announced the release of GearBox NAS adapter to convert a USB external hard drive or USB stick in NAS and then access it via the network. Available in two colors (black or white), the GearBox NAS has two USB 2.0 ports and a 10/100Mbps Ethernet connector.

Patriot also indicates that this adapter supports UPnP and offers features print server, FTP server and even iTunes server. Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux, the GearBox NAS Patriot has unfortunately not yet have pricing or availability date.
