Company Intel has a strong influence on the industry of laptop computers, but in the near future, AMD hopes to increase its share in this market, and one of its instruments will be more energy efficient models. According to rumors, AMD plans to develop new dual-core processors for the mobile market, which will use the new revision of 45nm architecture K10.5. The new optimized kernel will be able to offer owners of laptops significantly lower power utilization, with the first details related to the new model looks promising.
Dual-core AMD Athlon II Neo Dual-core K325 will be the first model in the new series. This processor will have 2MB of cache, 64-bit FPU and support for DDR3-800, with its maximum power consumption will amount to just 12W. Unfortunately, data on its frequency of operation yet, but most likely it will be quite competitive.
"The earlier of this model will be the processor AMD Turion Dual-core Neo K625. This will also be dual-core CPU; it will have 128-bit FPU, faster HyperTransport bus along with the power of 15W.
Also expected to release single-core processors from AMD Neo-power 12W and with characteristics similar to those of K325.
