Thread: A new ATI Radeon HD4890 from Sapphire

A new ATI Radeon HD 4890 has arrived at XFX. The newcomer adopts a custom heat sink but still a double-slot format, with many aluminum fins and copper heat pipes. A fan that seems very light comes evacuate the residual heat.

We find that under the heatpipe RV790 with 800 stream processors and 1024 MB of GDDR5 connected via a bus 256 bits wide. The card is clocked at frequencies of basic or 850 MHz for the heart, and 900 MHz for memory. The video outputs are standard, two DVI and an S-Video. The XFX HD-489X-ZSFC is available in Canada against the equivalent of about 159 € TTC.
