On Monday, Intel proudly launched a new firmware for its series of SSD "Postville" engraved in 34 nanometers. The program, an increase of flow in writing for the 160GB version but especially the support of the TRIM control for Windows Seven, which supports it natively, but also for Windows XP and Windows Vista via the Software Toolbox SSD.

While many users who flashed their SSD are satisfied, it is not the same for others who are left with corrupted disks. The scenario most often encountered after flashing is a normal boot of Windows Seven, except that the operating system seems to install something that requires a restart. Users running and there are drama because Windows Seven Will not Boot and SMART errors occur.

Note that on our side, we once again had a mishap which already intervened with the old firmware to have a complete obliteration of the partition of the SSD. This occurs randomly; with no possibility to reproduce but the result is that complete loss of data. Again, Intel is investigating the problem that the founder himself had difficulty in reproducing.

Faced with this setback for its new SSD, Intel has prudently withdrawn its firmware from its site and said work. Note that the problem occurs immediately after the flash and that therefore those who have already flashed without problems can be reassured...
