If all goes according to plan, Intel will move from the current 32nm process technology, which has just been submitted to a new 22 nm process technology in the fourth quarter of 2011.Intel is trying to adhere to their usual plan and move to finer process technology every two years. This is something that reveals the official release plan Intel processors.
After the 22 nm process technology, in the fourth quarter of 2013, the manufacturer must submit to 15nm process technology, and two years later, in the fourth quarter of 2015, the company turned to 11nm process technology. According to this schedule, the next update process technology will be about 80% less than 11nm, probably 7nm. Plans ─ thing is interesting, and if Intel does not face technical problems, it will adhere to the planned production schedule.
Most likely, GlobalFoundries will be behind schedule Intel about two blocks away, at least in the transition to 32nm and 22 nm process technology, but after a while GF is likely to be able to catch up with Intel.
