Fermi, 40 nm chip GF100 from nVidia supports DirectX 11, sold well, despite the fact that nVidia is still not officially released it. The source confirmed that nVidia taking pre-orders, but, surprisingly, while nVidia does not give timing of this chip. Thus, due to strong demand from the first day of expected supply shortages GF100.

According to the original schedule, Fermi must be submitted in late November, however, according to recent data, its release will be delayed until the first week of December. Other sources say the last few days of November or early December, but all agree on the fact that Fermi will be presented this year, and pretty soon.

nVidia has received more orders for 40 nm chips for laptops and desktop computers primary level than at Fermi. It is assumed that Fermi will be in demand in the market of servers for parallel computing, workstations, and, of course, as the video card for computer games. For nVidia server market is a priority, because here the manufacturer can make more profit on the sale of a chip.

Channel once again confirms that the single core Fermi eventually be much faster than single core ATI Radeon 5870.
