Logitech has with their Harmony series is one of the most popular multi remotes on the market and now has launched a product that will solve one problem that most people experience with their controllers. Infrared technology is used by almost all consumer electronics require line of sight to operate, something that does not work with their devices hidden in a stylish TV stand. This Logitech says that it loosely with a Harmony IR Extender.
The device consists of an infrared receiver that receives signals from the remote control. This receiver is visible anywhere in the room to create a clear view. The receiver connects to multiple IR Blasters which in turn is placed behind the wall or door that hides the devices you have to steer and shoot out the IR signals to the devices. The price for Logitech Harmony IR Extender should be around 600 Swedish kronor including VAT and the device works with all IR based remote controls, not just Logitech's own.
