In Europe, were seen motherboards Intel Essential ITX upcoming series with the new processor family, Atom, namely, Atom D510 and D410.
More powerful, and, consequently, more interesting version of the Intel Essential Series is a fee D510MO, also known as Mount Olive. It installed dual-core processor Atom D510, which operates at 1.67GGts. This processor has 2x512Kb cache memory and power consumption 13Vt, but evaluating this system, it should be borne in mind that it is also equipped with integrated graphics GMA 3150. The rest of the board is not so interesting. It offers users a single mini PCIe slot, a simple PCI slot and one slot for memory DDR2 800/667.Unfortunately, Intel still holds VGA and does not provide native support for DVI or HDMI, at least not at this time. Members also receive a 3 external ports USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 5.1-channel sound, ancient slots PS / 2 mouse and keyboard, as well as 2 x SATA II, and 4 USB.
The second board, codenamed Packton, released as the Essential Series D410PT, in general, similar to Mount Olive, but between these boards there are some slight differences. D410PT has 100/10Mbit LAN instead of 1GB, and it seems, does not support 5.1-channel sound.
Both motherboards designed for use in laptops and other mobile devices have passive cooling, without annoying fans, making the price of devices based on them will be somewhat less. Mount Olive with the new D510 Atom processor and graphics GMA 3150 currently sells for € 60 in the batch of 1000 pieces, as well as the old board D945GCLF2 Atom 330 processor and chipset terrible 945GC Intel. Price payment processor D410 is still unknown, but presumably it is a bit less than € 50 in the batch of 1000 pieces.
