While Windows 7 has just been launched on the market, Microsoft is already working on a Service Pack for its new operating system. Although it has hitherto been favorably welcomed, Windows 7 suffers from several problems. Several updates "critical" have already been made, even before its commercialization, and some programs suffer incompatibilities.
According to sources, the first beta of the Service Pack 1 should be given in private beta since December and then in public beta in January 2010. Follow two "release candidates", the RTM is scheduled for next summer. The Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 could therefore be created next fall, a year after launching the operating system.
