Intel will shortly launch its first processors with integrated graphics. Something that is feared to kill a large proportion of the market for third-party manufacturers. But among other things, Nvidia said to have an ace in the sleeve, the next generation of Hybrid SLI. The idea is that Intel's low-power Arrandale CPU to handle simple graphical data with its integrated GPU in order to maximize battery life. While a much more powerful Nvidia GPU will be ready for when it needed more power or to plug your computer into the wall outlet.
Hybrid SLI use both the integrated and external graphics chip from Nvidia, but with Intel's new platforms, therefore it looks like the Nvidia graphics chips will be able, if not working with Intel, at least switch seamlessly between the two.
Several major PC manufacturers are said to have talked to Intel and asked for the City of Nvidia's 40nm mobile graphics chips as their upcoming technologies for switching between different GPU chips will be significantly more effective than their present.
If AMD does not get its low-power mobile graphics chips in the near future is good for Nvidia to grab large parts of the mobile market performance and manufacturers as Acer, Asus and Dell said to be ready to jump on the train.
