Paramount and Kingston just lifted the veil on an agreement that provides for the distribution of feature films first on the second USB key. This is not the first time such an agreement is established, Disney and Sony having already tried to distribute movies on USB storage media. Still, this distribution channel, halfway between the physical and digital, has not yet departed.
The first film to benefit from this partnership is Transformers 2, and it may already be bought in the U.S. on a USB key. A model DataTraveler 4GB of Kingston. The USB key is stored on which the film is sold $ 30. However, we do not know the nature of digital file of the film. But it seems that Paramount has locked the film by using DRM. However, it is confirmed that the movie can be copied to a computer to use the USB for other purposes.
As the music industry, film industry is therefore seeking new distribution channels. Moreover, it is the memory card that could quickly be preferred over USB. Less expensive, they can be used with an increasing number of devices, including mobile phones and other digital music players.
