Microsoft broke all ages advance booking record at Amazon.co.uk when it launched its Windows 7 operating system and it seems that sales are still going well. Now the NDP Group, has carried out information that says that Windows 7's sales in the consumer market is more than twice the corresponding figures for Windows Vista. In the U.S., Windows 7 has sold 234 percent more copies during the first days of Microsoft's launch of Windows Vista.

Although it sold more than twice as many copies has the cash profits increased as much. Microsoft has sold considerably more expensive versions of Windows 7 and especially Ultimate version has sold fewer than expected. Despite a 234 percent increase in sales, the profit in dollars only increased by 82 percent compared to Vista.

While it actually sold more complete PCs at the launch of Windows Vista than during the launch of Windows 7. But this was not least the launch month, and that computer with older operating system was still greater extent during the launch of Windows 7.
