Intel Company started production of new wireless chips, called "Kilmer Peak", which will provide support for three versions of WiMAX, and are intended for use in laptops. Without a doubt, this message will please many operators and users.
Kilmer Peak enables users to access the 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5GGts versions of WiMAX, while the current Intel chips support only the 2.5GHz version, available in markets such as Japan, USA and Taiwan. With new Intel products range wireless communication expands, allowing operators to different countries to expand the offer and make it more accessible and convenient for users.
Intel plans to introduce Kilmer Peak, along with a platform for notebooks Calpella Arrandale in the first quarter of next year, but until more details about when the manufacturers could start producing laptops with the new chip WiMAX, are not reported.
