As recently became known, AMD is planning in May 2010 finally released a new chipset with support for DirectX 10.1.
Chipset AMD, currently available, called the 790GX. It is integrated graphics core with DirectX 10 support, and requires a lot of effort in order to remove the old kernel and install the new. That's why AMD is planning to move to DirectX 10.1 with chipset AMD 890GX, and only in 2011, with LIano, the manufacturer plans to use the chipset core segment graphics cores with support for DirectX 11.
Graphics core AMD 890GX chipset will have to operate at a frequency of 700MHz, the same core HD 3300, used in the 790GX. With a small power consumption of Northbridge, equal to 22W, this is a pretty good clock speed. Graphics core 890GX will be based on cut-down version graphics chip RV710, and therefore he will support UVD 2.
The official announcement of the new chipset was appointed in May next year, but according to some sources; motherboards based on the new chipset will begin to appear only during the exhibition Computex 2010, which will take place in the first week of June 2010.
