The rumor goes back to last August, where we talked about the possibility for Microsoft to sign with the semantic engine Wolfram Alpha to add their results to those of its search engine Bing. Today, we learn that the rumor was right, again. Indeed, Microsoft has formalized the signing of a partnership forged with Wolfram Alpha.

Recall also that Wolfram Alpha is a semantic search engine developed by Stephen Wolfram, specializing in mathematics, chemistry, physics, astronomy and medicine. An engine designed by the English physicist during the last twenty years. By signing with Wolfram Bing thus acquires a weapon in the fight against the Google machine.
