At the beginning of September, Intel will unleash the first 32nm processors on the desktop market. A circuit developed under the codename Clarksdale. The equivalent circuit for the mobile market units Arrandale and said now debut sometime during the first half of 2010. Intel will launch three Arrandale-based processors for the ultra-thin market with its efficient manufacturing and power management features also will give proper performance.
The three processor models included in the Core i5 and Core i7 mobile familkerna all have just over 1GHz. Which may sound a bit too churlish, but in cooperation with the Turbo Boost technology nearly doubles the clock speed in their applications and power supply allows.
Processors working on dual-core and will also be equipped with an integrated GPU, which pulls down overall system power consumption. The three models to be included in the Calpella platform is expected to have the following specifications:
Processors Grains / Topics Frequency Turbo Boost Cache TDP
Core i7 640UM 4C/8T 1.20 GHz 2.26GHz 4MB 18W
Core i7 620UM 4C/8T 1.06 GHz 2.00 GHz 4MB 18W
Core i5 520UM 4C/4T 1.06 GHz 2.00 GHz 4MB 18W
Prices in quantities of one thousand units is said to be at 305 USD, 278 USD respectively. 241 USD. We hope that the processors get the chance to show up already in the first quarter when Intel certainly seems to have a really nice processor family on the road for the mobile market.
