PhotoFast the Taiwanese manufacturer has recently announced the launch of a new mini-SSD 1.8 inches, the G-Monster-1, 8''V4. Available in capacities ranging from 32GB to 256GB, this SSD is available in three versions: 50 pin PATA, PATA ZIF 40 pins and 40 pins.

Embedding of MLC NAND Flash memory and 64 MB cache, these SSDs sequential display speeds of around 128MB / s read and 90MB / s write. Random write 4 KB throughput falls to 16 Mb / s, which is quite interesting. The G-Monster-1, 8''V4 also has a function "Garbage Collection" to maintain good write performance even when used intensively. Guaranteed for one year, these SSDs have unfortunately not yet have pricing or availability date.
